Material needed for this game:
As the game originates from the coalmines of Asturias, all the materials are made normally of iron.
- “La Llave” (The Key) – a piece of iron with three crosses.
- “Fichas” (Tokens) – Round flat pieces of metal.
Rules of the game
- Throwing the tokens takes place from a distance of 8 metres.
- It can be played individually or in groups of various numbers playing alternatively.
- When they throw, the players try to hit the crosses of the key. Each cross has got an assigned score due to its difficulty: one point for the biggest, two for the medium one and three points for the smallest cross.
- The player throws ten times, until he has used all his ten tokens.
- The winner is the player or the team that gets the highest score.
