2 nd TAFISA European Sport for All GamesFollowing a brilliant first edition held in the province of Fryslan, the Netherlands, 2018, you are invited to join us and discover Perugia, Umbria, local, Italian and European traditions from 23 to 29 September.
EUFestTSGAs the main event of the 2 nd TAFISA European Sport for All Games, the European Traditional Sports and Games Festival, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, will gather delegations from all over Europe to demonstrate their respective disciplines, with international and local visitors invited to join in and try out.
A Celebration of Sport for AllIt is TAFISA’s Mission 2030 to create a better world through Sport for All. The European Games highlight all the best that Sport for All has to offer, with opportunities for young and old of all abilities and backgrounds to experience the joy to be active while discovering diverse European cultures and traditions.

The 2 nd TAFISA European Sport for All Games and EUFestTSG offer a week packed of
highlights and surprises including Opening Ceremony in Perugia and Closing Ceremony in
Gualdo Tadino, Traditional Sports and Games Festival and demonstrations for 5 consecutive
days in Perugia, Todi and Acquasparta, a series of conferences and a school day. Join us to
discover European and Italian Traditional Sports and Games!
As President of FIGeST, the Italian Federation of Traditional Games and Sports, first of all I want to express my thanks to the participants of the second edition of the Tafisa European Sport for All Games festival. I’d also like to thank all the technicians, companions, supporters and the people who will attend competitions and opportunity for interaction, meeting and conviviality.
For our big family it is truly an honor to be able to welcome this event in our wonderful land and allow many people to be able to approach sports that have made the history of sport, both in Italy and in the world.
In Perugia, and in the other towns involved in the initiative, partecipants from as many as 30 European countries and beyond, will be able to demonstrate and make known about fifty disciplines that have always been represented under our flag and that of the other federations.
This appointment will also be a great opportunity to visit the city of Perugia, the birthplace of Pinturicchio but also of the world-famous music festival “Umbria Jazz”, the city of Gualdo Tadino, with the important event of the “Giochi de le Porte”, and Gubbio, made fascinating by the “Ceri” historical commemoration, Assisi home of San Francesco, but also Todi, Foligno which is the city of the “Giostra della Quintana”, Spoleto cradle of the “Festival dei Due Mondi”, Orvieto, Narni heart of the Middle Ages, Terni city of San Valentino and of the Marmore waterfall.

The TAFISA Games have in the past years developed to become a formidable event that bridges tradition and modernity, and celebrates diversity and European values like no other. From 23 to 29 September, delegations from all over Europe will meet and engage with visitors, young and old alike, to re-discover and practice Traditional Sports and Games. From the Irish Gaelic Games to the Italian Lancio del Ruzzolone, from Georgian martial arts to the French Rouleurs de Barriques, participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in numerous European cultures.
The Games will this year be devoted to Peace, Solidarity and Common Understanding, in a world that has tremendously changed since our last event. TAFISA and FIGEST unite themselves at this occasion and invite you to join us and celebrate the values of Sport for All and Traditional Sports and Games in order to create, together, a better world.
