AccETTD-Cultural and scientific Association for Tourism, Leisure and Sport Studies

AccETTD was founded on the 16th September of 1998 and has been registered in the culture register of the Presidial ministry of the federal state government by Estremadura/Spain. This happened with the intention to research, advise, educate and organize events in the ranges leisure time, tourism and sport. As a non-profit recognized society wants AccETTD to mediate vocational and scientific experiences to students and graduates, who are still out of work. These collected experiences and qualifications will facilitate their competitive ability, authority and integration into the job market. The emphasis can be summarized in the vocational advancement of the members, scientific work and management, organizing of sport events and the international co-operation.

The society has constituted his self as an instrument of the support and co-operation for other institutions. It enters into a social, educational, intercultural and ecological obligation. Additionally it represents a pluralistic, cosmopolitan and scientific culture.

It is one of the few centers in Spain, which are striving in the above mentioned ranges to make a knowledge transfer between Europe and Latin America, particularly between Spain and Germany. Between AccETTD and the University of Extremadura are existing two co-operation agreements (practical course places and co-operation frameworks). Likewise there were co-operation agreements between Institutions for experiential orientated learning at the University of Lueneburg and the German Sport University of Cologne signed (practical course places).
