Billarda

Drawing two circles of 2 meters separated by 8 meters inside the play field; each circle belongs to a team and must be defended.

Equipment:

“Billarda”: a cylindrical wooden piece of about 2 centimetres thick and 8-10 centimetres long, pointed at both ends.

“Mocho”: a wooden stick approximately 80 centimetres long used to strike the “billarda”. Each player must have a “mocho”.

Players: between 1 and 4 players for each team.

Rules of the game: the “billarda” has to be hidden with the “mocho” to send it to the opposite circle (two options: without touching the ground or with three tries).

Procedure:

The “billarda” can only be hidden with the “mocho”, both in attack and defence.

The players must remain inside their own circle while the “billarda” is in play.

Order of service:

The initial service is decided by toss.

Each team serves alternately whether or not they score.

There is rotating among the players of each team.

3 tries are allowed to get the “billarda” out of one’s own circle.

Scoring:

3 points are scored by the receiving team if the “billarda” is returned directly to the circle of the team in service.

2 points are scored by the team in service if the “billarda” lands inside the receiving circle. Also if the “billarda” is touched by any part of the body of any of the players in receiving team.

1 point is scored by the serving team if the “billarda” touches the opposite circle and then goes out of it.
