Tsan

It is a fairly complex team game, the game is divided into two distinct phases. In the first, very similar to baseball, there is a player from one team at the pitch, and the other team deployed in defense. In fact, the thrower must hit the wooden ball (called tsan) , placed in balance on a pole, and hit with a club, trying to make it fall inside the playing field, … a kind of trapezoid about 135 meters long. .

The twelve players of the opposing team, lined up in defense, try to intercept the “tsan” before it falls to the ground inside the playing field with a wooden board. bump and the opposing batter is called out. For every shot that falls on the field without being intercepted, the thrower is entitled to a “paletou”: … that is, a player of the opposing team throws a ” tsan ” at him, in the most challenging way possible, and he, using another tool, (a wooden racket called “shovel” or “sod”), must intercept it, control it with a bounce and finally throw it as far as possible. It is precisely the meters scored in these throws that award the victory.
