Tied Feet Game

With the ultimate aim of promoting teamwork, the Game of Feet Knotting is practiced throughout the country. Its origin is omitted and the practice is common in other parts of the world. Always played in pairs or in teams, the objective of this game is to travel a defined space from start to finish as quickly possible. With a scarf, a player’s left foot is tied to the right of another player of the same team, and the arms are intertwined so that it is possible to run side by side (Cabral 1998a, p. 101-2). Once the course has been traced and the starting signal given, the pairs must travel through space without falling. Each time the team falls, it will have to return to the starting line. The team that finishes the route in less time.
