It is played outdoors on roads or on special tracks, both individually and in larger aggregations (couples, backhoe, teams) with real aged cheese wheels.
To carry out the throws, ropes or cords are used with which the shape is wrapped around its circumference which, unrolling, impart rotational force to travel along the roads or tracks.
The weight categories range from a minimum of 1 kg to a maximum of over 25 kg. The winner is the one who, with the same number of throws, has covered the greatest distance, winning the wheel of cheese as a trophy.
