Hoops game (or five-pin table)

Similar to many of the traditional games, the story of Ring Game is unclear. It is theorized that it will originate in a game from Ancient Greece, at the time played with horseshoes. It was adopted by the Romans who spread the game across Europe, and this could be a possible explanation for the spread of this game in different European countries (The Stanstead Journal, 1931).

In the Portuguese context there are some variants, in which the pins can be integrated in a board of pre-marked points, or without reference to punctuation, this wake up at the beginning of the game. Or, in another variant, the pins be separated and will be scattered over a field.
As for rules, it’s a game that can be played with two or as a team, where each player must throw consecutively the 5 rings, trying to hit the pins that have the highest score. Whoever wins the biggest
score reach.
